Cookies on Beneoshop

Last updated: 9 June 2026

At Beneoshop we want you to feel comfortable and in control while you browse and shop. Like almost every modern website, we use cookies and similar technologies — but only in line with the GDPR, and only with your permission where it’s required. This page explains, in plain language, what cookies are, why we use them, and how you decide which ones we’re allowed to use.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device — your computer, tablet or phone — when you visit it. They let the site remember things between pages and visits: for example, that you’ve added a balance bike to your basket, which language you prefer, or that you’re already logged in. Cookies can’t run programs and don’t carry viruses; most of them simply make the shop work the way you expect.

Some cookies are set directly by us (“first-party” cookies) and some by trusted partners such as analytics or advertising providers (“third-party” cookies). They also differ in how long they last: session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser, while persistent cookies stay for a set period so the site can recognise you on your next visit.

Why we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • keep the shop working — basket, checkout, security and login;
  • remember your preferences — language, currency and region across our EU markets;
  • understand how the shop is used, so we can fix problems and improve it;
  • and, only if you agree, show you more relevant offers and measure how well our campaigns perform.

The types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Always active

These keep the website running and secure — they make the basket, checkout, account login and core functions work. The shop can’t operate properly without them, so they don’t require consent and can’t be switched off.

Functional

Needs your consent

These remember the choices you make — such as your language, currency or region — so the shop feels personal and you don’t have to set things up again on every visit.

Statistics

Needs your consent

These help us understand how visitors find and use Beneoshop — anonymously and in aggregate — so we can see what’s working, fix what isn’t, and keep improving the experience.

Marketing

Needs your consent

These are used to show you offers that are more relevant to you, both on our site and elsewhere, and to measure how well our campaigns perform. They are only ever set after you’ve given your consent.

How we manage your consent

To handle all of this transparently, we use Usercentrics, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform. The first time you visit Beneoshop — and again from time to time — a consent banner appears. There you can:

  • Accept all cookies,
  • Reject everything that isn’t strictly necessary, or
  • Choose exactly which categories you allow.

We only load functional, statistics and marketing cookies after you’ve given permission, and we securely record your choice so your preferences are respected on future visits. Because our consent platform supports Google Consent Mode, the tools we use automatically adapt to the decision you make.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

You’re always in control and can change your mind at any time. To review or update your choices, reopen your cookie settings using the button below (you’ll also find a cookie/privacy link in the footer of every page). Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it — it won’t affect anything that already happened, but it stops the relevant cookies from that point on.

Managing cookies in your browser

On top of our own cookie settings, your web browser gives you further control. You can usually view, delete and block cookies in your browser’s privacy settings, and set it to warn you before a cookie is stored. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain exactly how. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the shop from working correctly.
