2-Year Warranty Terms & Conditions

I. General

Beneo, s.r.o. provides consumers with a manufacturer's warranty for eligible products, offered alongside and in addition to any statutory rights the consumer may have under applicable law. Nothing in these warranty terms limits or affects mandatory statutory rights, including liability under product liability law, liability for wilful conduct or gross negligence, or liability for harm to life, limb or health.

"Consumer" for the purposes of this warranty means any individual who owns the product and acquired it for personal use — not for resale or for use in a trade, business or profession.

II. Scope and Duration of the Warranty

Beneo, s.r.o. warrants that products sold on beneoshop are free from defects in materials, construction and manufacture at the time they leave our facility, assessed against the technical standards applicable at the time of production. To qualify under this warranty, the defect must have been present in the product from the point of manufacture.

This warranty covers only products purchased directly through beneoshop and intended for private, non-commercial household use. Any commercial application — including but not limited to hire, leasing or use in a business context — falls outside the scope of this warranty.

The warranty is valid for a period of two (2) years beginning on the date of purchase. Warranty services such as repairs or replacements do not extend or restart the original warranty period.

Subsequent private owners who acquire the product from the original purchaser also benefit from this warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period, provided the product was first bought directly through beneoshop.

III. Submitting a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, the consumer should contact Beneo, s.r.o. in writing — by email or post — describing the defect and enclosing proof of purchase. Contact details are available on the contact page at www.beneoshop.com. The claim must be submitted before the warranty period expires.

Once the claim is received and reviewed, Beneo, s.r.o. will provide an appropriate spare part with a right to repair to the customer or arrange the return shipment. The consumer should then send the defective product, together with the original proof of purchase, to the address indicated on the shipping label.

Defects must be reported promptly upon discovery. The consumer is responsible for demonstrating that the warranty period was still active at the time of reporting, for example by providing a purchase receipt or order confirmation.

IV. Warranty Remedies

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Beneo, s.r.o. will address production-related defects and material faults at no cost to the consumer. Beneo, s.r.o. may choose, at its own discretion, to repair the product, replace it or issue a refund of the original purchase price — whichever is most appropriate given the circumstances.

Any replaced product or component becomes the property of Beneo, s.r.o. upon handover of the replacement. Where a refund is chosen and confirmed in writing by Beneo, s.r.o., the consumer returns the product and receives reimbursement of the purchase price.

Should a product be beyond repair, it will be exchanged at no charge for an equivalent item of comparable type, quality and specification. Where the original product is no longer in production, Beneo, s.r.o. reserves the right to supply a suitable alternative product.

For accepted warranty claims, all costs related to inspection, outbound and return shipping are covered by Beneo, s.r.o. Where freight collection is necessary, the consumer should ensure the product is accessible. A member of our team will coordinate the collection logistics in advance. Please allow up to 30 days for processing from the date we receive the returned item.

V. Conditions and Exclusions

This warranty is valid only when the product has been used in accordance with the instructions in the supplied user manual, has not been modified or interfered with by the consumer or any unauthorised third party, and has been properly maintained throughout the period of use.

Use must have been confined to normal private household conditions consistent with the product type.

The following are not covered by this warranty:

  • Consumable and wear components, including wheels, bearings, springs, seat and roller mechanisms, footrest finishes, artificial leather covers, grip upholstery and brake components
  • Superficial or minor variations from stated specifications that do not materially affect the product's function or value
  • Damage sustained during delivery or transit
  • Damage resulting from exposure to external substances or environmental conditions, including chemicals, nicotine, cleaning products or corrosive agents

The warranty will not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Damage attributable to ordinary wear, misuse or deliberate mishandling; where the consumer has contributed to the damage through negligence, this will be factored into any remedy proportionally
  • Damage arising from use of the product in a commercial, rental or professional capacity
  • Non-compliance with the assembly or operating instructions provided with the product or available at beneoshop
  • Use of non-original spare parts, modifications or third-party accessories not approved and/or provided by Beneo, s.r.o.
  • Damage caused by using the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose
  • Damage resulting from extraordinary external events, including natural disasters, flooding, fire or freeze damage
  • Damage to products from which any permanently attached or sewn-in product label has been removed or destroyed

VI. Out-of-Warranty Repairs and Goodwill

If a claim is assessed and found to fall outside this warranty, any costs for shipping, inspection and return of the product will be the responsibility of the consumer. Should the consumer wish to proceed with a chargeable repair after being notified that the claim is not covered and provided with a cost estimate, they will be liable for both parts and labour. Such costs become payable immediately upon completion of the work.

Where a defect is found to have arisen after the point of delivery and is not covered by this warranty, Beneo, s.r.o. may, entirely at its own discretion, offer a goodwill remedy. This does not constitute a legal entitlement on the part of the consumer.

VII. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights

This warranty is governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. However, where the consumer is resident in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer protection laws of that member state shall apply to the extent that they provide greater protection than Slovak law.
