The ZXT arrives with the engine oil already in the crankcase and the hydraulic brake system filled and ready. The only fluid you need to add is fuel: 95 octane unleaded petrol, used neat with nothing mixed into it. This is a four-stroke engine, so never add two-stroke oil to the petrol. The engine takes 15W/40-SE four-stroke oil if it needs topping up. Check both levels before the first ride, as transport can move things around.

We recommend changing the engine oil once a year for normal use. These quads have no odometer, so an annual interval is easier to keep track of than a distance figure. Change it more often if the quad is used heavily or in dusty conditions, and carry out the first change earlier, at the end of the running-in period, as described in the user manual.
